What is the best way to storage my chocolates?

Dark, cool place (16-20°C / 60.8-68 °F is ideal), away from direct sunlight and strong-smelling foods.

Because these are artisan chocolates we do not recommend using a refrigerator as chocolates will be exposed to moisture and odours than can be absorbed by altering their quality. A pantry, wine cooler or a kitchen cabinet works best.

No need to refrigerate, but if you must, it's best to place chocolates in a sealed container to preserve their shine.

Enjoy at room temperature.

What is the shelf life of your chocolates?

We recommend the consumption of bonbons for up to 15 days and bars for up to 60 days.

Do you deliver chocolates Canada-wide?

Yes, we do!

Why are your chocolates more expensive than the other common chocolate brands?

If you notice the ingredient labels of common chocolate brands, you will find many additives, cocoa butter substitutes content, and a high quantity of sugar.

One of the main reasons for the higher value of our chocolate bars is that we use only the best quality real ingredients with a high percentage of cocoa butter.

Quality chocolate needs rich cocoa butter on its ingredients list to produce that melt-in-your-mouth texture chocolate lovers crave.

Then why do some brands use vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter? It usually comes down to price and how easy it is to work with. Vegetable oil is more cost-effective than cocoa butter and is much less temperamental during the manufacturing process.

We also place value on ethical sourcing and sustainable farming practices - in order to adequately pay farmers a fair living wage, as well as the craftspeople that make the chocolate, the finished confectionery product price must reflect the true cost of production.

Does it taste better than the grocery store chocolates we're used to eating?

First of all, taste is subjective. We believe that there is a kind of chocolate for everyone's taste and there are no rules to enjoy them! If you like it, then it's as good of a chocolate as others!

Chocolates are not created equal. The popular grocery store brands are mostly made of lower quality cacao beans and mixed with many fillers to enhance the taste like artificial flavorings and different types of additives to make it creamier.

What makes the Artisan Chocolate special is its artisanal approach in making smaller batches of chocolate and its focus on quality over quantity. Much like wine and coffee, the more you try artisan chocolates, the more you will be able to distinguish the differences of tastes and undertones. Soon you will be able to discriminate between the ones you like and the ones you don't.

Can you cater to my allergies?

We can absolutely do our best. Please send an email to hello@mwchocolates.com telling us about your allergy, so we can provide you with the options from our menu that may be suitable for you.

Please note that our kitchen is not an allergen-free environment, therefore, every chocolate produced here may contain traces of nuts, gluten, peanuts, dairy, eggs and soy.
